FWH Myers

Our Society is based in Gloucestershire, UK and is named after the noted local Cheltenham parapsychologist FWH Myers.

Myers was born in 1843 and died in 1901, He wrote the first and, many say, definitive book on life beyond the grave, "Human Personality And Its Survival After Bodily Death". In 1882, Myers co-founded the Society for Psychical Research, which remains one of the most respected societies researching paranormal activity to this day. Myers was particularly interested in spiritualist mediums.

The Myers Paranomal Society has no connection with FWH Myers, his estate, his family or the Society for Psychical Research other than our name being our personal tribute to Myers' memory.
